Acetate front cards

Acetate fronted cards

Recently we had some special people having birthdays.. I have seen these Acetate cards on Pinterest but always thought they would be so complicated so have been putting off making them.. I finally had a go and WOW, I am so thankful that I did.. They are so simple, I can't believe it!! I will be making many more of these I do believe.. lol..

My Mind's Eye - BLUSH collection
"Happy Birthday" chipboard title - Memory Maze

Kaiser - Garage Days

My Mind's Eye - BREEZE

Although each of these cards have been made with the same technique, they are all very different, for very different people.. I can't wait to make some fun, bright, kids cards with this style!!

Fairy with Mirror frame

Fairy with Mirror Frame

I have had this little beauty in a ready pack set for a couple of months and just haven't had the chance to create a project worthy.. Finally I had the opportunity and hopefully you'll all agree with me that I believe that I have done this stunning frame and Fairy justice.. :)

I have actually done up a slideshow YouTube video step-by-step of the process for this creation.. I would love it if you'd get a chance to drop by and check out the video - HERE..
It has some extra details on techniques used also...

I started this project off by colouring as many chipboard pieces as I could.. I used different techniques for them, but you'll have to watch the video for more details!!
Then I stuck down the pattern paper onto the center circle.. Covered it with some Impasto, using a fun River Pebble stencil, then spraying it with some pink mist..
Next down were the Heart Pendants, then mirror and swirl.. The fairy was the last big / main chippie piece to go down..
The embellishment clusters were of course the final pieces placed to conclude this frame..

Here are some close ups of the finished project.. Lovely chipboard pieces, bling and flowers..

Here are all the products that I used to colour the Memory Maze chipboard.. Plenty of ink and mist sprays..

I have been very lucky to again receive a fun Challenge Envelope this month... Thank you to host Wanda..
I honestly can't explain how much I LOVE doing these!!!!!!!! :)
This month as you can see, the papers were themed Christmas.. I've never seen these before, so it was even more exciting creating a special card..

I actually based this card design off the same sketch for the SEM layout challenge this month..

I used everything in the envelope + added these extras..
One big cream flower, one red flower, small cream flower, bling and the hession mesh ribbon..

Gift Card Pocket album

In one of my card swap groups, this month is to make a Gift Card..
Although I have already made the card that I'm going to send, when the partners were annouced, I noticed that mine had mentioned a little while ago that she had infact made 6 cards... 2 partners -  3 cards each... Ahhhh...... So now I'm trying to quickly make her a couple more before I send the swap off to her..

This is the second Gift Card.. It is actually bit of a pocket album too..

What a wonderful idea for friends or family that live a far distance away or for someone who has everything and will just be receiving gift cards instead of presents.. lol..

Kids - Just like my boys, they receive quite a number of gift cards or cash for christmas and birthdays because we don't live awfully close to Grandparents and Aunt / Uncles.. So how cool would this be if the whole family put in a special gift card of their own into each slot.. and just one package / envelope needs to be sent.. :)

Travelers - How about this!! Know someone that is about to take an adventure? Give them a special little piece of mind with some gift cards / vouchers.. They could be for Petrol, Hotel, Car Hire, Extreme Adventures or a Visa Prepaid..

Retirees - Seriously, just think of the possibilities!! Endless!! Know someone that is retiring? What about a Bunnings / Garden center card, Petrol / Hotel card for travel, Movie card, Magazine subscription card..

Sister / Mother / Daughter / Wife - Nail card, massage card - make it a whole day out sort of thing, like a Pamper pack!

Bother / Father / Son / Husband - Hardware card, Supercheap / Repco card, Fishing store / BFC card, card for a six pack at BWS...

For this one, I've just included some cute tags, but you could include as many gift cards as you wish.. And you can use on of the slots for a tag for the message too.. Whether it be Christmas, Birthday, Thank you, Anniversary or a "Just Because" ..

Options are endless and I've very much thinking about making more of these! Would be great to store your own gift cards in too.. Throw it in your handbag and know exactly where it is at all times.. No more having to search for where that one gift card is while standing at the checkout.. lol..

If you do make one of these, please do let me know!! I would LOVE to see it!!
Have a nice day, happy scrapping.. Toni.. xoxo

Cards made at crop - November

How productive are you at crops? Honestly?! lol..
I am shocking! I talk way too much, I tend to sit and think too much, I ususally get no where near enough done!!
So imagine my overwhelming feeling of accomplishment when I managed to create 10 cards!! Woot woot..  They are only fairly simple, but most of them are for International Swaps, so they need to be kept fairly flat-ish and without too many embellishments..

I was very strick on myself when packing for the crop.. I didn't let myself get carried away with packing too many supplies.. I made a list of the swap themes that I am interested in joining in for and packed a few 6x6 paper pads to suit theme.. Some are new collections, some are old!

Scrapping Everyday Miracles - November challenges

II am LOVING this new Kaiser range - Fairy Dust...
Yes, yes it might have something to do about how obsessed I am with Fairies, but seriously, this collection is gorgeous..
I'm usually very reluctant to use any of my fairy papers, however this time I actually bought two of everything.. lol.. So I don't get anxiety while cutting up and using the papers, because I know I still have a full set of 12x12 and 6x6 sheets as spare... hehe.. My Precious!!

These creations were both based on the sketches supplied by Scrapping Everyday Miracles this month for their challenge..

Pyramid Explosion Box

Pyramid Explosion Box

I am absolutely loving the chipboard packs that Memory Maze are now designing that have all you could need for a project or page. I have used a gorgeous flourish, some butterflies and flowers all from the same pack. Honestly, what more could you want! Such an ease knowing all the hard work of matching pieces is already done for you!

All of the chipboard that is brown and teal have been inked, the grey was painted. I have not added glitter or dimension magic to these pieces as I really wanted to keep it as a matte finish.
The papers used were from the Blue Bay collection range by Kaiser..
Some flowers, lace, washi tape and a paperclip finishes off the project just nicely..

Aussie Christmas Advent Calendar

Aussie Christmas - Advent Calendar

My boys loved the Naughty or Nice Advent calendar that I made for myself --- ( I shared that in yesterdays post) ---- that they wanted me to make a special one for them too.. Hunter ended up making a MARVEL's themed Advent Calendar, so that left us to come up with a fun theme for Lane.. As soon as I saw this Memory Maze "Aussie Christmas" chippie piece, I knew straight away this would be perfect..

The Santa Hats have been covered with Red ink on both sides, then glue has been applied for the "Fluff" to stick, then Liquid Pearl has been used to make the dot on the tip.
"Aussie Christmas" comes already prepared in different colours, I choose Red.
The little Reindeer has been layered 3 times with "Puff White" embossing powder.
All of the matchbox drawers have been covered with the Christmas Tree Washi Tape on the front.

Naughty or Nice? Advent Calendar

Naughty or Nice?

Pretty much every year since I was a teenager, I've told myself that I would make my own Advent calendar.. But still never did.. Finally however, I have found that papers and the chipboard pieces that have inspired me to make my own.. This project started out being a set probably for Lane, however I do believe that it's a bit too girly and I think I'll just have to keep this one for myself! hehehe..

The papers that have been used are the Silver Bells collection from Kaiser... The adorable chipboard pieces are of course Memory Maze...

Thanks to Kaye at A CRAFTER'S PASSION in Rockhampton, Qld who was enjoying coming up with little ideas for me while I was trying to take it all in myself.. lol.. The SNOW was a fantastic idea and turned out way better than the Fluff that I would have used.. So THANKS Kaye!! :)

Although I did use matchboxes for the drawers, the house is made by using the 12x12 sheet chipboard. The circles and title were inked, sprayed with mist and dusted with distress glitter. The cute little Reindeer was simply inked. The Trees and Sleigh were both painted with the same Grey that was used on all of the edges on this project.
