Just Add Ink - 256

Good evening crafty friends..
Tonight I'm happy to share with you a simple styled layout based on the sketch from JAI for their challenge this week.... I'm excited because this is the first challenge layout I've done in a while AND Hunter assisted with this one too! :)

It's fairly simple, but we had a good time making this fun boys themed layout featuring a photo of him and his big brother (my older son, Lane) walking through a beautiful Forest Boardwalk.

This is the sketch that we were challenged to use.. As you can see, I used multiple indivial squares to make up the tag shape in the middle.. The big doiley round shape has been changed to this large diecut pattern paper.. That is how it originally came from Kaiser, many many years ago.. This is an OLD collection from my large stash.. lol..  We used some twine at the top to create the ribbon bow from the sketch too..

The alpha letters are from Bella..
The stencil mask I used with the impasto is from Memory Maze..

Something else I wanted to share is how we actually got our base AND squares out of ONLY ONE piece of 12x12 pattern paper.. We cut out everything from the middle of the paper that will be covered by the large round piece.. Simple hey! :)

Thanks very much for joining me.. Please do drop by the Just Add Ink challenge blog some time to link up your own challenge entries! Cheers, Toni.. xoxo

"Perfect" layout

Welcome back crafty friends and family.
I'm back today to share with you my second Memory Maze DT project from the post that was released yesterday.
This one is a lovely layout featuring my Aunty and my cousin on her wedding day.

As you all know by now, I LOVE MAKING MY OWN BACKGROUNDS!
For this page I had a lot of fun messy time.. lol

5 different misting sprays make up the base page.
Perfect Pearls Mist - Heirloom Gold
Tattered Angels - Glacier
Lindy's Stamp Gang - Hydrangea Blue
Lindy's Stamp Gang - Ocean Breeze Blue
Lindy's Stamp Gang - Clam Bake Beige

It was a plain white cardstock when I started.
Then I tore there edges and stuck to the Buttercream coloured cardstock, which was then torn and stuck ontop of the Blue cardstock.

I have distressed and inked all the edges of each paper with a Vanilla mini ink pad.
The Memory Maze stencil was used with Impasto paste to create some fun and subtle texture.

There are Manor House flowers, Prima flowers and Butterflies.

All of the Memory Maze chipboard have been heat embossed and finished with a coat of  Dimensional Magic.  Final finishing touch was some micro beads and a Kaiser Bling swirl cut in two.

Thanks for dropping by today, I'll leave you with some close up pics of my layout.
Until next time, Happy Scrapping Toni..

Don't forget to drop by the Memory Maze blog for more inspirational posts from the other DT's..
